Piroshki are easy to make and very child-friendly. Beef mince, potato and onion are a combo made in tastebud heaven. Once cooked, you can reheat them for another meal, or pop them in a lunch box to eat at room temperature.

Full of flavour, chilli con carne is a very versatile Mexican meat and red bean dish. Serve it on rice, have it in a wrap with rice and salad, or spoon it onto corn chips to make a nachos – these are just a few ways to enjoy the spicy mince.
VARENYKY (RUSSIAN DUMPLINGS)
Varenyky (pronounced vah-rEH-nee-key) are stuffed dumplings from the Russian and Ukraine regions. While they can be made with a variety of fillings – similar to a ravioli, for example – my favourite is a filling of beef mince, potato and onion. Please make them and let me know what you think.
