We’ve given the classic ham and cheese pizza a veg-boosted makeover! Cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes and a scattering of peppery rocket will make this pizza a family and entertainer’s favourite.
Ingredients
1 portion two-ingredient pizza dough (see notes)
Self-raising flour, to dust
150g grated Italian cheese blend (mozzarella, cheddar and parmesan)
100g shaved ham off the bone
120g pkt baby rocket
125g sundried tomato strips in oil
400g can cherry tomatoes, drained, halved
1/2 red onion, sliced
Method
- Preheat oven to 220C / 240C fan forced. Spray a large baking tray with olive oil. Prepare the pizza dough. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and use fingers to evenly spread the dough until large enough to cover the baking tray. Place on the prepared tray.
- Scatter the dough with the cheese blend. Arrange ham slices over the top. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until dough and cheeses are golden.
- Meanwhile, place the rocket, sundried tomato and 1 tbs of the tomato oil, cherry tomatoes, and red onion in a bowl. Toss until well combined.
- Scatter salad over the hot pizza. Slice into pieces and serve immediately.
Tips and notes
- Two-ingredient pizza dough is made with just flour and yoghurt. Check out the recipe, here.
- To make this pizza vegetarian, simply remove the ham.
- You can add all kinds of ingredients to the salad. Try bocconcini balls, sliced button mushrooms, grated zucchini, green or black olives.
